The Msunduzi Local Municipality seeks to establish a panel of service providers for the hiring of vehicles and mechanical plant, including the transportation of plant. The contract is divided into two parts:

  1. Part A: Hire of vehicles and mechanical plant, and transportation of plant to the Msunduzi Municipality’s general operational areas.
  2. Part B: Hire of vehicles and mechanical plant, and transportation of plant to the Msunduzi Municipality’s landfill site.

Scope of Work

  1. Part A – General Hire:
    • Vehicles: Supply of various types of vehicles including, but not limited to, light and heavy-duty vehicles.
    • Mechanical Plant: Provision of machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
    • Transportation: Transporting plant and equipment to and from various locations within the municipality’s area of jurisdiction.
  2. Part B – Landfill Site Hire:
    • Vehicles: Provision of vehicles specifically suited for operations at the landfill site.
    • Mechanical Plant: Supply of plant equipment required for landfill operations, including compactors and shredders.
    • Transportation: Transportation of plant and vehicles to and from the landfill site.
