Khai/Garib Local Municipality is seeking proposals for the Management of its Short-Term Insurance Portfolio. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing comprehensive insurance management services that cover the municipality’s assets, liabilities, and operations. This includes but is not limited to:

  1. Insurance Coverage:
    • Securing appropriate short-term insurance policies for the municipality’s assets, including property, vehicles, equipment, and other insurable interests.
    • Ensuring coverage against risks such as fire, theft, natural disasters, and public liability.
  2. Claims Management:
    • Handling and processing all insurance claims efficiently to ensure quick resolution and recovery.
    • Liaising with insurance companies to expedite claim settlements.
  3. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
    • Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in the municipality’s operations and assets.
    • Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential losses.
  4. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensuring all insurance policies comply with relevant regulations and legislation.
    • Providing regular reports and updates to the municipality on insurance coverage, claims status, and risk management activities.
